AUSTIN, Texas, February 26, 2008 — SemiSouth Laboratories Inc., a silicon carbide (SiC) based semiconductor company, announced today the appointment of Kenney Roberts as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. An industry leader,  SemiSouth specializes in SiC materials and electrical components for high-power, high-efficiency, harsh-environment power management and conversion applications.

Bringing an extensive history of executive management, Roberts will leverage his 34 years of operations, manufacturing and industry experience to lead SemiSouth’s
manufacturing operations. Prior to joining SemiSouth Roberts was founder and managing director of Eyzon Consulting and CEO of Teravicta Technologics, a provider of RF switching. He was the Chief Operating Officer of Layer-N Networks and
Colorado Microdisplay. In addition, he served as the Senior VP of Worldwide Operations at Cirrus Logic, a supplier of high-precision mixed-signal analog components and embedded processors, Vice-President of Operations for Crystal Semiconductor and Director of Engineering for Advanced Micro Devices. Roberts received his BS degree
from the University of Texas at Arlington.
