Product Engineer
SemiSouth has an
immediate opening for a Product Engineer working with SiC power device
products.
Summary:
This position will work closely with the manufacturing organization to optimize device performance, quality and cost.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze manufacturing indices and data to drive continuous improvements.
- Support cycle time reduction efforts.
- Monitor yields and drive defect reduction programs with the process engineering group.
- Take ownership for resolving customer quality issues on assigned product lines.
- Interface with process and quality engineering to solve problems and implement process enhancements.
- Take leadership role to establish a close working
relationship between the manufacturing facility and the Orlando
Engineering Center (OEC).
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering
- 2 years recent experience as a Product Engineer or Process Engineer in a semiconductor environment
- Candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering
- 5-7 years work experience as a Product Engineer or Process Engineer in a semiconductor environment
- Strong self-motivation and project management experience
- Ability to interface with people of different backgrounds and at every level of the organization
- Experience leading cross functional teams to solve problems and implement process enhancements
- Strong track record of effective problem-solving, good engineering judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong drive to produce results in timely fashion and have strong sense of competitive urgency
- Must be willing to travel domestically
