Failure Analysis Engineer
SemiSouth has an immediate opening for a Failure Analysis Engineer
working with SiC power device products.
Summary:
This position will work closely with the manufacturing organization to optimize device yield and electrical performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform In-depth Electrical and Physical Analysis on SiC
devices in order to find the failure mechanism causing the product to
fail.
- Develop and enhance the current FA Technique in order to resolve analysis of complex devices.
- Provide training and guidelines of FA analysis techniques to other engineers.
- Good Customer Service attitude to support wafer fab, manufacturing line and external customers.
- Posses effective analytical and decision making skills.
- Able to work with minimum guidance and delivers during critical time to meet customer demand.
- Perform construction analysis on next generation SiC devices.
- Monitor yields and drive defect reduction programs with the product and process engineering groups.
- Take leadership role to establish a close working
relationship between the manufacturing facility and the Orlando
Engineering Center (OEC).
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2 years recent experience as a Quality or Failure Analysis Engineer in a semiconductor environment.
- Experience in basic IC design, testing, fabrication and manufacturing processes is an added advantage.
- Familiar with the operation of FA Techniques and equipment eg; Sat, SEM, EDX.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-7 years work experience as a Failure Analysis Engineer.
- Strong self-motivation and project management experience.
- Ability to interface with people of different backgrounds and at every level of the organization.
- Experience leading cross functional teams to solve problems and implement process enhancements.
- Strong track record of effective problem-solving, good engineering judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong drive to produce results in timely fashion and have strong sense of competitive urgency.
- Must be willing to travel domestically.
