Facilities Manager
SemiSouth has an immediate opening for a Facilities Manager working
with the SiC power devices fabrication facility located in Starkville,
MS.
Summary:
The position reports to the Director of Front-end Operations and is
responsible for the effective functioning of the facility, employees,
and department. This position has the responsibility for the
design, planning, construction, expansion or modification, and
operation and maintenance of facility equipment, machinery, and
buildings. Develops the facility budget and monitors its
execution to control design, installation, operation, and other related
costs. This position has overall responsibility for security
operations for the site and ensuring compliance with environment,
health, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the efficient operation of all of
manufacturing facilities and office spaces, including, but not limited
to, security, custodial, lawn care and landscaping services.
Strive to maximize uptime and cost efficiency for all facility utility
services.
- Strive to maximize uptime and cost efficiency for all mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Work with management to develop strategic plans and budgets
to support corporate objectives. Management of expenses and
timelines to meet corporate objectives.
- Supervise and direct efforts of facilities technicians and
other laborers supporting facilities. Ensure 24/7 availability
and coverage for facilities related events. Create log
sheets/checklists for facilities equipment to be verified periodically
as deemed appropriate and necessary.
- Project management of all construction efforts for facility
modifications and additions using internal labor resources as well as
external contractors.
- Establish and document comprehensive preventive and/or
predictive maintenance program for all facilities mechanical and
electrical capable of satisfying ISO9000 requirements as well as
risk-loss insurance. Acquire spare parts for facilities equipment
as deemed cost-effective and necessary to maximize uptime.
- Responsibility for all aspects of process equipment
installations. In particular, coordinated of ultra-high-purity
process gas system planning, installations, modifications, and quality
assurance testing.
- Assist process equipment maintenance techs as needed with troubleshooting and repair issues.
- Perform cost of ownership analysis for facilities and process manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure compliance of corporate security requirements and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Seven years facilities experience in an advanced technology manufacturing environment.
- Possess knowledge of clean room operations including facility design criteria, HVAC control systems, and clean room protocol.
- Strong project management experience related to construction, start-up, and operation of advanced technology facilities
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project required.
- Excellent skills in the use of AutoCAD, and able to read and interpret design drawings required.
- Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully manage several high priority projects simultaneously.
